9:50 Literacy Activity – letter D – Do As I’m Doing
Target words: dig, dive, dance, drop, droop, drag, drink, dream, draw, drive

10:05 Math – actions patterns, hold a cube
unifix cube patterns free exploration

10:20 Break/Snack – play and eat outside
Transition: Jump Up, Turn Around

10:40 Science – Butterflies
- Show kids the caterpillars, talk about what happened
- Introduce metamorphosis with “Caterpillar to Butterfly”
- Practice saying word, clap syllables
- Show phases on computer
- Do puzzle together

11:05 Choosing Time

1. balance scales
2. butterfly symmetry art
3. literacy – playdough letters
4. butterfly puzzle


11:25 Clean up, Gather to sing and read until picked up

9:50 Literacy Activity – letter D – Dirty Dishes, do the dishes (take off d words), dry the dishes

10:05 Math – demonstrate ab and abc patterns, kids make their own unifix cube pattern, if kids are understanding, have a friend add on

10:20 Break/Snack –
play and eat outside/if bad weather dance inside with scarves

10:40 Science - Butterflies – life cycle art
- eggs (lentils) on leaf (construction paper)
- larva – pipe cleaners twisted on leaf
- pupa – shell noodles hanging from branch (paper)
- butterfly – pipe cleaner with wings

11:05 Choosing Time
