"H" construction

I decided to focus our construction portion on how to construct a hot air balloon. Here is my plan for the day in preschool:Gathering: Puzzles
Circle Time: If you’re Happy and you know it, home/school poster, Hamish Mc Haggis story, Hot air balloon story
Make “Hairy H’s” by gluing hairy fabric onto paper in the shape of an H. Cut them out. Hide the H's. Play “hot and cold” as hints to find the H.
10:15 Math : How Many Hands are there? Have children chart/count how many hands they have and how many hands we have as a group.
10:20 Break/Snack - Hummus
10:40 Science - Social Studies – Show the Kids:
Talk about Hot Air Balloons, and how they are constructed, What types of supplies and tools people might need to make them, and how they operate. Make Hot Air balloons, with a balloon, string, and toilet paper roll. “Ask them to go Home, and Hang them up High in their room”
11:05- Choosing time – set up the castle on the table with all the characters and play make believe, play puzzles again, finish working on H’s or Hot air Balloons, if not done yet.
11:25 clean up
