Transition:

Let kids take turns writing zeros.

Grab one or none. Put out little treats like goldfish crackers or cheerios. Tell the kids we are going to play a listening game. When I say, “Grab one!” They can eat one, but if I say, “Grab zero!” they don’t grab any. Playfully “catch” kids who eat one when the number is zero.

10:20 Break/Snack – play outside, no snack since we are eating already

Have camping food in 4 categories, sweet (marshmallow), salty (chip), bitter (unsweetened chocolate), sour (lemon) (As a reward for tasting sour and bitter give them the sweet-added version)

Let kids vote whether each food is “Good” or “Gross,” Have signs to categorize foods, let kids vote and make a graph.

11:05 Choosing Time

1. art – animal stamps (camping background), letter stamps also out

2. name tracing with paint/soap mixture (also letter G, numbers 0, 1)
